Favorite Snap Shots

So since this is our new blog I feel like its missing alot of the classic pictures from our old one. So I would like to post my favorite pictures now. I hope that all parents look at their kids, like Scott and I do. Of course we feel like our Kids are the cutest kids in the world. Living down here in south Texas the kids defiantly stick out in a crowd with their red hair. We have so many sweet old Hispanic ladies and just about everyone always comment on the kids hair. It bothered me when we first moved here cause Random people in the stores would walk up and start rubbing Hunter's hair. I slowly got used to it, it still sometimes bothers me when they do this to my baby cause come on I have no idea where their hands have been and now they are all over my new baby! Anyway we love the compliments ! Hunter is pretty much the "funniest" kid I have ever been around. He is so goofy. He "cuts" his eyes being silly and makes the goofiest faces at us, he dances to anything that plays music. He actually looks like he is trying to "break dance", he gets on the floor and spins around. Of course Macie Lynn is a mamma's girl right now and its a good feeling to know that she trust me so much. Anyway as you can all tell I just enjoy my kids so much and I am so thankful Heavenly Father has sent them to us!

A weekend in Houston

It was so nice to be able to spend time with Scott's Parents and his Sister's family in Houston! We drove up on Friday and left on Monday after lunch. It was a pretty relaxed weekend for us. Scott and I were able to go to the temple Saturday which was wonderful. Houston has been my favorite Temple since College and I was finally able to go inside with my Husband which made it all the sweeter! The boys took all the kids minus Macie Lynn to Gander Mountain on Saturday while Mom, Macie Lynn and I went shopping in Springs at some of their fun shops. Our niece Lauren had a dance recital Saturday night, we decided to stay home from that. We weren't sure how the kids would do at a dance recital for three hours. We celebrated later with them at the Olive Garden, which after some missed communicates between Scott and I, we actually gave our waiter almost a $20 dollar tip. Scott is usually a great "tipper" however $20 dollars for a $30 dollar meal was a little high, oh well Ryan we hope you enjoyed the money! Sunday was a rainy Sunday, Tara's ward doesn't meet until 1:30 which is just an odd time. We enjoyed church and even saw an old friend, the rest of day was spent inside. That night we played guitar hero/band... and had a blast! We are now home and ready to get packing for our move this weekend, we can't wait!!!!!

Night Time is getting easier!

I am proud to announce that finally Hunter is able to go to sleep without Scott or I laying down with him... It started as a bad bad habit on our partwhen he was real young. Right after college we stayed with Scott's parents for a few months while Scott was in training for a job and Hunter's crib was in our bedroom. So the routine at night was we would rock hunter in the chair, then we would lay him down in his crib and watch a little t.v. and then we would go to sleep. He would then wake up and see us in the room and throw a fit till we got him up and put him in the bed with us! That went on for months and months, then we moved here when he was 1 and he started sleeping in a full size bed which was great cause he hated his crib. He is addicted to playing with my hair and know that's how I would get him to fall asleep. He would play with my hair while I laid down with him until he went to sleep then I would get up. Most of the time this took 45 min! But NOW finally, we can put him to bed after his night time routine and amazingly he falls asleep without any arguing! He still wakes up sometimes in the night and Scott will usually have to go put him back his bed but this is huge progress!

The Smith Family is going to Hawaii... Hey Ya'll we have just decided to vacation next year in Hawaii with all of Scott's brothers and sisters and his parents. When Scott was younger and single he bought into Timeshare with Worldmark and RCI.... he has paid for this over the year and now its paid off, we pay yearly due's with Worldmark and monthly due's with RCI. All in all it cost us about 600 dollars a year to keep this up and going but that is a small price to pay when you look at all the places we have gone! We have accumulated enough credits to rent a two bedroom and a three bedroom condo in Maui! It will be 7 days and 6 nights, in Maui without our kids, and all though this isn't happening until JUNE 2010 we are already counting down the days...

I enjoy my kids so much, I am so grateful to be able to stay home with them and watch them grow up each and every day. Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming day after day but all in all its a great life as stay home mom. Hunter is growing up so fast I feel like putting a brick on his head! He doesn't say a lot of words, he has been slow to talk but he makes up for that with personality. He loves to dance, commercials, cell phone rings, music videos whatever it is if it makes music he is going to dance! Sometimes we put on music channels on our TV just to watch him. Lately he has become obsessed with Popsicles, he knows that when his daddy comes home they are going to share one while sitting on the couch watching Dora the Explorer. He can hear Scott on the phone and he starts asking for a "sickle". He gets his sweet tooth from his Mamaw. Macie Lynn is changing every day, she has started to stick her tongue out at us when we stick ours out. I really feel like she is too young to be mimicking us already. She has a love/hate relationship with her daddy. Sometimes he can pick her up and she is happy as she can be, other times she just looks at his face and she freaks out! She is our little Drama Queen, I am nervous to see how emotionally this one gets when she is a teenager!

No time like the present!

There is no time like the present to begin. We are actually in the process of moving out our small apartment into a larger town home. We are sad to move out of our ward but excited for more space and a small but nice backyard and even two car carport! This townhome actually sits right behind a elementary school so we have a public park and a elementary school playground right out of our backdoor!
